S E Martin Pty Ltd is an award winning family run building company that has been established & operating since 1999 and been a member for the HIA for almost 20 years.
We are family owned and operated business with family members involved in the day to day operations and building projects.
Our expertise includes but is not limited to architecturally designed builds, new house constructions, major renovations as well as alterations and additions.
Our work centres in the inner city areas, eastern suburbs, inner west and expands to encompass the St George and Sutherland districts.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our work and working relationships. We work very closely with our clients to ensure we fully understand and meet their particular requirements. We focus on details and achieving the goals of the individual clients as well as challenging ourselves professionally.
We have a number of experienced and energetic full time qualified carpenters that have been with the company for many years who are multi skilled and professionals in their own right.
Over the years we have carried out project from minor add-ons to first floor additions, major renovations/extensions, new architectural homes and numerous developments.
With modern design, we have used new and varied materials and construction techniques from traditional timber cladding to architectural homes with combinations of new techniques and modern materials.
Our company prides itself on maintaining its good reputation attained through providing quality work. We are happy to liaise with our clients through all stages of the building process. We are constantly working on our relationships with subcontractor trades and suppliers as we have had the majority of our subcontractors with us for many years now who are all multi-skilled professionals in their given trades.
Award winning
As first time entrants, S E Martin Pty Ltd were overjoyed to be awarded with the 2009 HIA CSR NSW Housing Award for their entry.
The project at Erskineville was awarded first place in the category Renovation/Addition Project under $300,000 for 2009. The project was also a finalist in the Renovation/Addition project of the Year for 2009.
The Judges ‘were impressed by a fantastic use of very limited space. This house is less than four metres wide but with a clever use of windows and doors it appears to be much lighter. The open staircase is particularly well made, which allows the light to get through to the living areas at the front. The first floor was lowered by 300mm to give extra head room in the attic. The standard of plastering was particularly good and all the little spaces were well utilised.’ They said.
The project was featured in the Daily Telegraph feature on the awards and has received good feedback.
In 2017, S E Martin Pty Ltd again entered the HIA CSR NSW Housing Awards. We were again successful entrants with our project at Stanmore being listed as one of three finalist in the Renovation/Addition Project. We are fiercely proud of our achievements.
